Chicago, built to match the grand visions of her citizens, is both a world-class center of culture and an unassuming Midwestern town. The magnificence of her museums and theaters lure travelers, but it's her friendly people that encourage them to return time and time again to explore her neighborhoods.
Hilton Chicago Hotel
In the middle of it all is the Hilton Chicago Hotel, the official conference hotel of Terminus. Built in the 1920s, at the tail end of the Chicago boom that saw great men and women of the city endow museums and public works all along the lakeshore, the Hotel stands on historic Michigan Avenue, across the street from Grant Park and a short walk from the shore of Lake Michigan. “The world’s greatest hotel,” as it was known, was the largest hotel in the world, not only at that time, but for 50 years afterward.
The Hilton Chicago Hotel will welcome Terminus and its attendees in August, 2008. Her grand front doors will open on J. K. Rowling’s world for one weekend only – and attendees will enjoy everything from the consummate friendliness of her staff to her richly appointed Grand Ballroom that has hosted queens and presidents, celebrities and billionaires.
Terminus has secured a discounted rate at the Hilton Chicago Hotel of $169 per night, plus tax, for up to four guests in a room; however, attendees may only make reservations at this rate until July 9, 2008. To review the hotel's amenities and history, please visit our page about the hotel. We hope you’ll be joining us at the Hilton Chicago Hotel. It’s truly a unique experience.
